In this series, each work consists of multiple layers of wool, sometimes up to five. As the layers are felted together, fibers from one layer pass through the others. This structure reflects how experience accumulates — layer by layer, where nothing fully disappears, and earlier layers continue to shape the surface.
The base layer in my works is always black wool. Its fibers move through the lighter layers and reappear on the surface, while remaining part of the structure. During felting, black fibers can overtake and cover the lighter ones. Lighter fibers resist this movement, holding their form and continuing to reach toward light.
This interaction creates a quiet, persistent tension — held in a layered equilibrium.
It reflects opposing forces within us: a pull toward darkness, apathy, and disintegration, and at the same time a movement toward creation, light, and becoming.
